Training doesn’t always go to plan

That’s fine. Your app should keep up with you.

The gym doesn’t work like a spreadsheet. Sometimes equipment is busy, sometimes you only have 30 minutes, and sometimes you’re back after two weeks away. The Gym Journal doesn’t expect a perfect workout. It remembers the one you actually did.

01

No free bench?

Change the exercise. Your journal still knows what happened.

02

Only have 30 minutes?

Do what you can. A shorter workout still counts.

03

Back after a break?

You’re not starting from zero. Your history is still there.

04

Feeling stronger today?

Add weight or another set. Your journal keeps up.

One simple system

Your training notes. Except they remember and answer back.

The Gym Journal combines simple workout notes, memory of your previous sessions and an AI assistant. No endless forms and no need to keep your entire training history in your head.

01NOTES

Write naturally

Write your workout the way you’d send a message: “bench 3x8x60, rows 3x10x50”. No form for every set.

02MEMORY

Remember without remembering

The app keeps your previous workouts, weights and exercises. When you come back, the context is already there.

03AI ASSISTANT

Ask when you need help

Forgot your last weight? Equipment taken? Coming back after a break? Just ask.

An assistant that knows your training

You don’t need another plan generator. You need context.

Useful AI doesn’t need to tell you how to train every day. It remembers what you did before and helps when you actually need it.

the bench is taken — what can I do instead?

RETURN

I’m back after 12 days. Where should I start?

Less admin. More training.

Three steps. No perfect routine required.

01

Train

Follow the plan or change it. Shorten the session, swap an exercise or add another set. It’s your workout.

02

Write what you did

One sentence is enough. The Gym Journal turns it into a structured training record.

03

Come back with context

Next time, check your weights, previous session, progress — or simply ask your assistant.

Why it feels different

A tracker makes you fill in your workout. A journal simply remembers it.

Traditional tracker

  • Choose an exercise
  • Add a set
  • Enter weight
  • Enter reps
  • Save
  • Repeat for every set
  • Fix the plan when something changes

The Gym Journal

  • Do the workout
  • Write what happened
  • Done
  • Your history stays remembered
  • Come back to your results later
  • Or simply ask

Memory that becomes more useful over time

You don’t have to remember your progress. Just make it.

Every logged workout builds your history. See previous weights, revisit old sessions and notice when your training is actually moving forward.

01

Last workout? There.

02

Weight from a month ago? There.

03

Long break? You still know where you left off.

FAQ

The practical questions.

What is The Gym Journal?

The Gym Journal is a personal training journal with memory and an AI assistant. You log workouts in natural language, keep your history and can later revisit or ask about it.

Do I need a fixed workout plan?

No. Follow a plan, change exercises, shorten the workout or improvise. The app records what you actually did.

How do I log a workout?

Write it naturally — for example, “bench 3x8x60kg” or “25 min zone 2 run”. The Gym Journal interprets the note and adds it to your history.

Does the AI create workout plans?

The assistant can help when you need advice or context, but the core idea is remembering your real training rather than forcing you into a perfect generated plan.

Does it remember previous workouts?

Yes. You can revisit previous sessions or ask questions such as “how much did I bench last time?”.

What if I don’t train regularly?

Nothing breaks. Come back when you can. Your history stays there and the app can remind you where you left off.

Is The Gym Journal free?

Yes. There is a Free plan. An optional Pro plan is available for people who want to use the app without limits.

Where can I download it?

The Gym Journal is available on the Apple App Store for iPhone and Google Play for Android.

Your training doesn’t have to be perfect

You train. We remember the rest.

Start tracking your training without filling out forms. Log what you do, return to your history and ask whenever you need help.
